Mellie Elezi

I am proud to offer Professional Psychotherapy and Counselling in Wilmslow and Deansgate, Manchester as part of my successful practice. I have been making a difference in people’s lives for many years: first as a nurse 15 years ago and now as a qualified and experienced therapist.

The only asset you have is your mind...

I have experienced my own challenges in life which have resulted in growth and a great deal of personal development. Most significant here was losing a family member to cancer. I committed to my personal values that life is a precious treasure to be valued, and that through our choices, we have the power of change in our own hands. I came to appreciate that effective support is available if we allow the right people to help us.

A professional who is trained and understands trauma and pain is the right choice when we deal with the unexpected life transitions, we all face in life.

Sometimes, we need to speak to someone who is not a family member or friend: someone who can use their professional skills and experience to offer us a non-judgemental and compassionate approach. That is my aim with each and every client I see – I want to help you find ways to grow through your difficulties and discover choices that support you towards growth.

With a degree in Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy, I am passionate about evidence-based therapy and I am currently studying towards a MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy at Salford University. My professional work history includes employment within mental health and work-based counselling settings.  My particular areas of expertise include Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Bereavement, Addictions, Mindfulness and Relationships issues.

Originally from Albania, I am committed to cultural awareness and inclusivity. My hobbies include writing, painting and classical music. I’d love to partner with you on making a difference in your own life, to find freedom from what holds you back.
